Important Information
Safety Precautions: Always read and understand the instructions before using the product. Damage resulting from failure to follow these instructions is not covered by the warranty. Use only accessories or components specified by the manufacturer. Do not forcibly disassemble the lock, as this may trigger an alert or cause damage. Avoid scraping the fingerprint sensor with sharp objects to prevent permanent damage. Do not expose the product to areas where water may leak or splash, or to corrosive substances. Avoid hanging objects on the handle, as it may interfere with the functioning of the lock.
Battery Use: Only use alkaline or lithium polymer batteries provided with the product or batteries of the same specification. Do not place batteries near a fire or short-circuit the battery's polarity with metal objects to prevent explosions.
Installation: Installation should be performed by a professional technician, a Philips authorized service center, or a professional technician. Do not disassemble the door lock.
PIN Code and Keys: After installation, immediately change the default master PIN code. Store mechanical keys properly and do not share PIN codes with others.
Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean fingerprints or dirt from the surface of the lock.
Disposal: Check local regulations for the proper disposal and separate collection of used batteries and products. Do not discard batteries with regular household waste.
Assembly and Parts
Included Items: The package includes the exterior assembly with silicone pad, interior assembly with silicone pad, drilling template, mortise, key tag, Quick Start Guide, warranty card, quality certificate, mechanical key, and an installation kit.
Door Compatibility: The lock is compatible with left-hand inswing, left-hand outswing, right-hand inswing, and right-hand outswing doors.
Adjustable Latch: The latch is adjustable. To adjust it, break the label at the "+" mark, unscrew the screw, rotate the lever 90 degrees to the correct position, and then tighten the screw.
Lock Settings
Instructions before Setting: The system has a general mode and a dual verification mode. In general mode, the door can be opened with any enrolled unlock method (PIN code, key tag, or fingerprint). In dual verification mode, the door can be opened using any two combinations of fingerprint, PIN code, or key tag. The manual suggests recording user numbers for easy management.
Smart Lock Activation: The lock uses a master PIN code to activate the system and enter the setup menu. The default master PIN code is 1234567890. The smart lock is activated after the door lock is installed and the master PIN code is changed.
App Download and Activation: Download the Philips EasyKey app, log in to the app, and add the door lock to your account. You can then add unlock methods (PIN code, fingerprint, or key tag) through the app.
Add an Unlock Method: To add a master access method, the default master PIN code must be changed first. To add a user, enter master mode by pressing the
*button and then#, followed by the master PIN code. Select the option to "Add a new user" and then follow the voice prompts to add a user PIN code, fingerprint, or key tag.
How to Use the Lock
Unlocking from Outside:
With PIN Code: Touch the keypad to wake it up, enter the enrolled PIN code, and press the "#" key to confirm.
With Fingerprint: Place an enrolled finger correctly on the sensor.
With Key Tag: Place an enrolled key tag properly on the key tag reader.
After successful verification, the voice prompt "Verification succeeded, please open the door" will sound, and you can press the handle down to unlock.
Locking from Outside: When the door is closed, lift the handle to engage the latch bolt and lock the door. The voice prompt will say "The door is locked".
Unlocking from inside: The door can be unlocked by pressing down the lever.
Locking from Inside: Press the "CLOSE" button on the interior assembly to lock the door.
Indoor Lockout: After locking from the inside, a voice prompt will announce "Indoor lockout mode, the keypad is locked". You can still unlock from the outside by verifying with a master PIN code or master key tag/fingerprint.
Mechanical Key: Use the mechanical key as an alternative unlocking method for emergencies.
Other Features
Factory Reset: The lock can be restored to its factory default settings.
Doorbell: The lock has a doorbell function.
Indicators
Lock Status Indicator: When the lock is successfully opened or closed, the indicator light will flash green. When the lock is in the system locked state, the light will flash red.
Low Battery Indicator: When the battery voltage is low, an alert will prompt you to replace the batteries. The indicator will turn red.
System Locking Indicator: The indicator light flashes red to indicate that the system is locked.
Troubleshooting
Alert Types:
Low Battery Alert: A voice prompt will remind you to replace the batteries. The indicator will turn red.
Tamper Alert: This alarm is triggered if the exterior assembly is pried open or not properly aligned with the door. The alert is continuous and will stop automatically upon a successful outdoor unlock or unlocking from the inside.
Emergency Power: If the battery is low and the door cannot be unlocked, you can connect a 5V power bank to the Type-C port on the exterior assembly to power the lock. This will also automatically restart the system in case of a malfunction.
