1) Important Information

Safety

  • Read and fully understand all instructions before use. The warranty does not cover damage caused by not following instructions.

  • Use only accessories and components specified by the manufacturer.

  • Use alkaline batteries or lithium-polymer batteries that are recommended for this product, or batteries of the same type and specification.

  • Do not forcibly disassemble the product; doing so may trigger an alarm or cause damage.

  • Do not scrape the fingerprint sensor with sharp objects.

  • Do not expose the product to water leaks or splashes.

  • Do not expose the product to corrosive substances.

  • Do not hang objects on the handle.

  • Clean with a soft cloth dampened with water.

  • Do not remove the batteries during setup or operation.

  • Follow the assembly instructions and keep all sealed stickers intact.

  • Change the default master settings immediately after installation, store mechanical keys safely, and do not disclose PIN codes (if any) to others.

  • Replace all batteries immediately when a low-battery alert appears.

Caution

  • Keep batteries away from ignition sources to avoid explosions.

  • Do not use power supplies that do not meet safety requirements.

  • Do not short battery terminals with metal objects.

  • Installation or component replacement must be performed by Philips, a Philips-authorized service center, or professional technicians.

  • Do not use third-party parts not expressly recommended by Philips; doing so may void the warranty.

Disposal of Used Products and Batteries

  • You may have locks taken back at authorized Philips service centers if they meet return conditions.

  • Follow local e-waste collection rules for electronics.

  • Do not discard used products and batteries with household waste.

  • Follow local battery-recycling rules to avoid risks to the environment and human health.

Notice Before Assembling

  • Supported door swing directions: left-hand inswing, right-hand inswing, left-hand outswing, right-hand outswing.

  • Adjust the latch bolt direction for inswing versus outswing doors.

  • The installation kit supports 35–60 mm door thickness. If your door is outside this range, contact your local dealer.

Adjustable Latch Instructions

  1. Push the latch mechanism upward to release.

  2. Press the latch bolt down, rotate it 180° to the opposite direction, and allow it to return to its original position.

Assembly Procedures

(Illustrations in the manual show a right-hand swing. For left-hand swing, first adjust the latch direction in “Adjustable latch instructions.”)

  1. Drill holes per the drilling template. Place the mortise inside the door edge and secure it with two anchor screws.

  2. Place the interior unit based on the inside of the door and secure it with two screws. Place the interior lock cylinder cover base and secure it with two screws.

  3. Align the hollow square shaft of the exterior unit with the mortise spindle opening. Align the exterior lock cylinder cover with the lock cylinder. Ensure the exterior unit and its lock cylinder cover sit tightly against the outside of the door.

  4. Open the battery cover on the interior unit to access the cable path and mounting points.

  5. Insert the lock cylinder and secure it with the lock-cylinder anchor screw.

  6. Route and connect the cable to the interior unit. Assemble the interior unit and interior lock cylinder cover, then secure the interior unit and interior decorative ring with the provided screws.

  7. Install the batteries, close the battery cover, and install the strike plate.

  8. Verify that the lock cylinder, thumb turn, and mechanical key operate smoothly. Ensure all components are firmly connected.

  9. After installing the strike plate, confirm the door opens and closes smoothly.

Attention: During installation, the deadbolt must not be extended.

4) Settings

Initialization

  1. Insert the batteries.

  2. Perform initialization; the lock runs a self-check and engages for locking.

    • Indicator: blue light on for 2 seconds.

    • Buzzer: one beep.

Fingerprint Management

  • Capacity: 45 fingerprints total (1 master + 44 user).

  • The first enrolled fingerprint becomes the master fingerprint.

  • User fingerprints remain valid until restored to default settings.

Add the Master Fingerprint

  1. Press the setup button once. You will hear a beep, and the blue light remains on; the device is now in setup mode.

  2. Press the finger to be enrolled 8 times on the fingerprint sensor.

    • Presses 1–7: short beep and blue light flashes twice each time.

    • 8th press: two beeps and green light flashes twice; enrollment succeed,s and the device exits setup mode automatically.

    • If enrollment fails: red light flashes twice and three beeps sound.

Attention (master):

  1. A user fingerprint cannot enter setup mode.

  2. A registered fingerprint cannot be registered again.

  3. If there is no operation for 10 seconds in setup mode, a single beep occurs, the red light stays on for 2 seconds, and setup mode exits.

Add a User Fingerprint

Prerequisite: A master fingerprint has been successfully enrolled.

  1. Press the setup button; a beep sounds and the blue light remains on to indicate setup mode.

  2. Verify with the master fingerprint.

    • Success: beep; blue light stays on.

    • Failure: red light flashes twice and three beeps sound.

  3. Press the user’s finger 8 times to enroll.

    • Presses 1–7: short beep and blue light flashes twice.

    • 8th press: two beeps and green light flashes twice; enrollment succeeds and exits automatically.

Attention (user):

  1. Only the master fingerprint can enter setup mode.

  2. A registered fingerprint cannot be enrolled again.

  3. No operation for 10 seconds in setup mode triggers a beep, a 2-second red light, and automatic exit.

Lock Mode

General Mode (default after adding fingerprints)

  • After the door is locked, fingerprint verification is required to unlock.

  • Upon successful verification, the motor activates the clutch to allow opening by handle.

  • After 5 seconds, the lock auto-locks (the clutch disengages), and the handle cannot unlock the door.

Passage Mode

Enable passage mode

  1. Press the setting (setup) button on the interior unit to enter setting mode; a beep sounds and the blue light remains on.

  2. Press the setting button again. The green light flashes twice, and two beeps sound; passage mode is enabled.

Disable passage mode

  1. Press the setting button. A beep sounds, and the blue light remains on.

  2. Press the setting button again. The green light flashes twic,e and two beeps sound; passage mode is disabled.

Note: When in passage mode, any registered fingerprint verification automatically disables passage mode.

Mute Mode

Enable mute mode (from non-setting mode)

  1. Double-click the setting button within 0.5 seconds.

Disable mute mode (from non-setting mode)

  1. Double-click the setting button within 0.5 seconds.

Restore to Default Settings / Exhibition Mode

  1. Press and hold the setting button for 5 seconds. A beep sounds and the blue light remains on to indicate factory reset.

  2. The master and all user fingerprints are deleted. The lock returns to exhibition mode.

    • In exhibition mode (default), any finger can unlock the door until you enroll the master fingerprint.

    • Completion is indicated by two beeps and a green light flashing twice.

Attention: Restoring to default settings deletes all fingerprints. Proceed with caution.

Application Binding (Tuya Smart)

Download the app

  1. Scan the QR code in the manual or search “Tuya Smart” in your app store. Install the app.

Add the lock (after adding the admin)

  1. Open the app and tap the “+” icon on the home page, then select Add a device.

  2. Choose Camera/Lock on the left and select Door Lock (Bluetooth).

  3. Enter the lock’s setting mode and verify the master fingerprint.

  4. Select Enable Bluetooth Pairing, then tap Next.

  5. When the lock appears in the discovered devices list, tap the “+” to add it.

  6. Rename the lock when prompted.

  7. Tap Done; the app enters the lock’s main interface.

Attention (binding):

  1. Keep Bluetooth on.

  2. Keep your phone near the lock during pairing to ensure a successful connection.


5) Get to Use Your Lock

Outdoor / Indoor Unlock

Outdoor unlock (fingerprint)

  1. Place a registered finger on the fingerprint sensor.

  2. After successful verification, the motor activates the clutch to allow opening by pressing the handle.

    • If the door is locked from the inside, insert the mechanical key into the keyway to unlock before fingerprint verification.

Indoor unlock

  1. Press the handle down to open.

    • If the door is locked from the inside, rotate the thumb turn to unlock first.

Auto-locking behavior

  • 5 seconds after unlocking, the clutch disengages, and the handle can no longer open the door.

Outdoor / Indoor Locking

  1. Close the door; the lock auto-locks after the clutch timeout, or lock from inside with the thumb turn as needed.


6) Indicators

Indicator Colors (general meanings)

  • Blue: System wake-up/setting mode.

  • Green: Verification succeeded / operation succeeded (often flashes twice).

  • Red: Verification failed / error state.

Low Battery Alert

  • Trigger: On wake-up, the system automatically checks the voltage.

  • Alert: Six beeps and five red flashes after unlocking, reminding you to replace batteries promptly.

  • Normal unlock feedback: Two green flashes with two beeps when unlocking succeeds.

Lock-out Alert (Security Lock)

  • Trigger: 5 consecutive incorrect fingerprint attempts within 5 minutes.

  • Effect: System locks for 3 minutes.

  • Status: During each verification attempt in lock-out, the red light flashes five times with six beeps; the timer restarts.

  • Release: Automatically released after 3 minutes.

Battery Replacement

  1. Power source: 4 × AAA batteries.

  2. Location: inside the interior unit.

  3. Push and lift the battery cover from the end of the handle to replace the batteries.

How to Apply External Power

  1. If the battery voltage is insufficient to unlock from outside, connect a 5V power bank to the front Type-C port.

  2. After unlocking, replace the batteries promptly.

  3. If the system freezes and you cannot unlock from outside, powering with a 5V bank via the Type-C port restarts the system automatically.


7) Troubleshooting (Quick Guidance)

  • Cannot enter setup mode: Only the master fingerprint can enter setup mode. Ensure you pressed the setup button first.

  • Fingerprint enrollment fails: Try again with clean, dry fingers; remember it requires 8 presses. If already enrolled, the same fingerprint cannot be registered again.

  • Setup mode times out: Any 10-second inactivity exits setup (beep plus 2-second red light). Re-enter setup mode and continue.

  • Door will not open by handle: Confirm the clutch is engaged (successful fingerprint verification) and the door is not thumb-turn locked from inside.

  • Lock is unresponsive due to low battery: Connect 5V power to the Type-C port to power up, then replace batteries.

  • Locked out after multiple failed attempts: Wait 3 minutes for automatic release, then try again with a correct fingerprint.


8) Quick Reference — Common Tasks

Add the master fingerprint

  1. Press the setup button to enter setup mode.

  2. Press the finger 8 times on the sensor until you hear two beeps and see two green flashes.

Add a user fingerprint

  1. Press the setup button to enter setup mode.

  2. Verify with the master fingerprint (beep, blue light steady).

  3. Press the user’s finger 8 times until two beeps and two green flashes.

Enable passage mode

  1. Press the setting button (beep, blue light steady).

  2. Press the setting button again (two green flashes, two beeps).

Disable passage mode

  1. Press the setting button (beep, blue light steady).

  2. Press the setting button again (two green flashes, two beeps).

Enable or disable mute mode

  1. From non-setting mode, double-click the setting button within 0.5 seconds.

Restore to default settings

  1. Press and hold the setting button for 5 seconds to factory reset.

  2. All fingerprints are deleted; the lock returns to exhibition mode.
