7300 Troubleshooting: No power / Battery draining fast

Updated over a month ago

Step 1: Initial Checks

1. Battery Type

    • Ensure disposable alkaline batteries are used.

    • Rechargeable batteries must not be used as they may damage the board and are not covered by warranty.

    • If rechargeable batteries were used, the inside panel must be replaced (customer to purchase).

2. Corrosion / Rust Check

    • Inspect batteries and terminals for corrosion or rust.

    • Corrosion/rust damage is not covered by warranty.

    • Attempt cleaning using a dry soft brush or fine sandpaper.

3. Inside Panel Replacement (if unresolved)

  • If the issue remains after the above checks, replace the inside panel (customer to purchase).

If all checks above are OK, continue to Step 2.

Step 2: Replace Batteries - Install a fresh set of disposable alkaline batteries

Step 3: Cable & Installation Check (Proceed only if the customer is willing to uninstall the lock. If not, skip to Step 4.)

Check the following:

    1. Cable joint is inserted correctly (not reversed).

    2. Cable is not crushed, broken, or distorted.

    3. Pin headers are not bent or loose.

Solutions:

    • Reconnect the cable properly.

    • Reinstall the batteries.

    • Replace the damaged cable if broken.

    • Straighten bent pins and reinsert.

    • If pin headers are loose, reinsert securely.

Step 4: Factory Reset

⚠️ This will erase all user data and revert the master PIN to default: 12345678

Steps:

  1. Remove the inside lower cover.

  2. Double-press the RES button using a pointed object.

  3. Confirm reset by listening for: “Restored to factory settings.”

Step 5: Observation

    • If the issue persists, replace the inside panel.

    • Proceed via the warranty process: “Warranty Claim & Technical Escalation.”
