DDL608-5HWS Troubleshooting: Locked-Out / No Power / No Response

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Quick Solutions

Option 1: Unlock Using the Mechanical Key

  1. Locate the mechanical keyhole on the exterior panel.

  2. Insert the mechanical key and turn it to unlock the door.

Note:
If the mechanical key is not available, or in the event of a system crash where the door cannot be opened from outside, proceed to Option 2.

Option 2: Emergency External Power (USB-C)

When battery voltage is insufficient and the door cannot be opened from outside, the lock can be temporarily powered using an external power source.

  • The emergency USB-C port is located near the mechanical keyhole at the bottom of the exterior panel.

Steps:

  1. Connect a USB-C cable to the lock’s emergency power port.

  2. Connect the other end to a 5V power bank or external power source.

  3. Once the lock powers on, unlock the door using your usual access method.

Important Notes:

  • External power is temporary and does not charge the batteries. It is only used to unlock the door.

After Unlocking

  • Replace all batteries immediately with new batteries.

  • Test the lock to ensure normal operation.

If the Lock Still Does Not Respond

  1. Enter the property through an alternative access point (e.g. garage or back door).

  2. Replace all batteries with new batteries.

  3. Test the lock again.

Further Assistance

  • If the lock still does not respond after battery replacement, follow the TECH ESCALATION process.
