DDL702-8 Battery Information and Replacement

Low Battery Alert

When the system wakes up, it automatically checks the battery voltage.
If the battery level is too low, the red light will flash and a voice prompt will announce:
โ€‹โ€œLow battery voltage, please replace all batteries.โ€

The alert will automatically turn off once the batteries have been replaced.


Battery Type and Installation

To extend battery life and reduce the need for frequent replacements, the lock is powered by 1.5V AA alkaline batteries and supports up to eight batteries at the same time.

The battery compartment is located at the lower part of the inside escutcheon.

To replace the batteries:

  1. Press the button near the bottom of the inside escutcheon.

  2. Remove the battery cover.

  3. Push the battery cover buckle upward.

  4. Pull out the battery compartment and replace all batteries.


Battery Life

  • Up to 6 months

  • 8 ร— AA disposable alkaline batteries

Actual battery life may vary depending on usage conditions and operating scenarios


Emergency Power Supply (Low Battery)

When the battery voltage is low and the door cannot be unlocked from the outside, you can temporarily power the lock by connecting a 5V power bank to the micro USB port.

Once the door is unlocked, replace all batteries immediately.


System Reboot (System Crash)

If a system crash occurs and the door cannot be unlocked from the outside, press and release the reboot button to restart the system.
