The lock operates on four AA alkaline batteries which may last up to 7 months

How to Apply an External Power Source
When the battery level is low and the door cannot be unlocked from outside, connect a 5V power bank to the door lock to supply emergency power.
Once powered, unlock the door as normal.
Replace the batteries promptly after unlocking.
Low Battery Alert & Replacement
When the system awakens, it automatically checks the battery voltage. If the voltage is low, a voice prompt will announce: “Low battery, please replace the battery” upon unlocking.
The alert will turn off automatically after the notification.
To replace the batteries, remove the battery cover from the battery compartment which can be found on the upper end of the interior assembly and take out the batteries.
