DDL801-5HBS Installation Process

⚠️ Note:
The following steps apply to right-hand swing doors.
For left-hand swing doors, please refer to [Notice Before Assembling] and adjust the latch direction before installation.


1. Prepare the Door and Install the Mortise

  • Drill holes in the door according to the drilling template.

  • Insert the mortise into the door jamb

  • Secure the mortise using four anchor screws.

⚠️ Attention: Ensure the latch bolt does not protrude during installation.


2. Install the Mortise Tumbler

  • Install the screw tubes onto the exterior assembly.

  • Insert the mortise tumbler into the tumbler hole.

⚠️ Attention:

  • Cut the mortise tumbler to the appropriate length based on door thickness.

  • After insertion, the exposed portion of the tumbler should be 10–20 mm above the door surface.


3. Install the Exterior Assembly

  • Pass the assembly cables and mortise cables through the door hole.

  • Align and insert the mortise tumbler into the rotary hole.

  • Ensure the exterior assembly fits flush against the door surface.


4. Secure the Mounting Plate

  • Align the mounting plate against the interior side of the door.

  • Tighten the M5 anchor screws to secure the exterior assembly.


5. Connect the Cables

  • Insert the assembly cable and mortise cable from the exterior assembly into their corresponding interfaces on the interior assembly.


6. Install the Interior Assembly

  • Align and insert the mortise tumbler into the tumbler hole on the interior assembly.

  • Tuck any excess wiring neatly into the cavity.

  • Tighten the screws to secure the interior assembly.


7. Install Batteries and Covers

  • Install 4 or 8 AA alkaline batteries.

  • Attach the battery cover.

  • Fasten the bottom handle cover to complete the installation.


8. Final Check

  • Test the toggle switch, mechanical key, and lock operation.

  • Ensure all components are securely connected and functioning properly.
