Ways to open the door
Philips door locks provide various access options, including keyless entry, PIN codes and smartphone access. Most models also take fingerprints, and several offer facial or palm recognition depending on the range.
How many people can it hold?
Most Philips locks store up to 20 PIN codes and 100 fingerprints. For most households that is far more than needed, and it is usually enough for a small office or a shared workspace as well.
Exact capacity varies by model. Search your model number in this Help Centre, or ask us in chat, if you need the precise figure before buying.
Guest and temporary access
You can generate temporary access codes that are set to expire. This is the feature most people use for cleaners, tradespeople and short-stay guests.
Through the app you can also grant access to family members and revoke it as necessary, and create or manage visitor codes remotely.
Does it lock itself behind me?
The majority of our Philips door locks have an auto-locking function.
There is one exception to be aware of: the Philips EasyKey 603E-5HWS does not have auto-locking. If self-locking matters to you, check this before choosing that model.
Notifications and history
Philips smart locks can send real-time notifications to your phone whenever the lock is locked or unlocked.

What happens when the battery gets low?
Philips locks give you a low-battery warning before they run out, and have backup power options for temporary access so you are not locked out while you sort it.
Do not ignore the low-battery warning. Replace the batteries when you first hear or see it.
Security
Philips door locks use encryption and secure communication protocols to protect against unauthorised access and to protect your personal data. They are also built with tamper-resistant features and robust construction.
If your lock ever opens without anyone entering a valid PIN, fingerprint or app command, stop using it as your only security and contact us straight away on 1800 737 271. That is not normal behaviour and we will treat it as urgent.
