1. Emergency Charging
If the battery voltage is low and the door cannot be opened from outside:
Plug a 5V power bank into the micro USB port on the lock.
Power up the lock temporarily to unlock the door.
After unlocking, replace the batteries immediately to restore normal operation.
2. How to Replace Batteries
Philips EasyKey can hold four AA batteries, with the option to install eight AA batteries for longer operation.
Remove the rear escutcheon cover:
Loosen the buckles at the lower part of the rear escutcheon.
Slide the rear escutcheon upward to access the batteries.
Remove the old batteries and insert fresh AA disposable alkaline batteries, ensuring correct orientation.
Replace the rear escutcheon securely.
3. Battery Life
Typical battery life: ~10 months with 4 or 8 AA disposable alkaline batteries.
Actual battery life may vary depending on usage patterns and environmental conditions.
Tip: To maximize battery life, avoid leaving the lock connected to unstable Wi-Fi networks, minimize frequent biometric scans, and alternate between battery sets if using multiple batteries.
